About me
Donna Sacco, PhD, has over 20 years of experience at the national, state, and local levels in special education and English as a Second Language (ESL). Currently, she is a senior technical assistance consultant at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) where she has develop products for two OSEP-funded national centers related to special education and intensive intervention: the PROGRESS Center and NCII. Before joining AIR, she was a special education clinical assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Sacco has written and presented extensively on special education and English language acquisition. She earned an M.A. in bilingual special education from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in special education and research methods from George Mason University.
